Blessed Mariam Thresia, the Foundress of the Congregation of Holy Family was born in Puthenchira, Kerala on 26th April 1876. From her early childhood she led a life of prayer and contemplation. At the prime of her youth, listening to the inner voice of God, she went out to the dying and the destitute, to the illiterate and the wayward people and to the broken families, Under the direction of God and with the help of her spiritual director Fr. Joseph Vithayathil, she founded the Congregation of Holy Family in 1914. She was a great visionary. Realizing the importance of education for the for the formation of good families she started a school for the illiterate children of the locality in 1915. Now the congregation has 148 educational institutions all over India.

Fr. Joseph Vithayathil was a Diocesan Priest, Spiritual director of Bl. Mariam Thresia and the co-founder of the Congregation of Holy Family (CHF). His deep faith, trust in God, integrity and honesty made him a holy priest.
His wisdom, Spiritual vision and prudence enabled him to discern the working of the Holy Spirit in the life of Bl. Mariam Thresia. His Pastoral commitment and zeal for Christianization of families made him a father (Pithavu) to all with out caste and creed.
In order to meet the increasing need of value-based quality education of the city and to share the Holy Family Sisters' expertise in the field of education of 90 years in India and abroad, the Pavanatma Province of the Congregation of Holy Family decided in March 2002 to Open a Co-ed English Medium School in Indore which is to be affiliated to CBSE.
A Suitable plot of land was purchased at Pipliya Kumar, Mayakhari Road, Indore in January 2003. Bhoomipoojan for a full-fledged Higher Secondary School building was held on 12th November, 2003 and the first phase of construction is expected to end in April 2004. Admission to Nursery started in January 2004.

Holy Family is a Christian Co-ed Minority School belonging to the Congregation of Holy Family under the Catholic Diocese of Indore. The School follow CBSE Pattern and hopes to be affiliated to it. It is an unaided school and the medium of instruction is English.
